After 40 years our Master Bedroom was rejuvenated and transformed by Dana Macmillan of Decorating Den Interiors. A combination of interesting fabrics, warm colors and her eye for design brought our bed, windows, and even our window seat and wall covering to a new place. Shopping was made easy by Dana’s visits to our home to asses the room, our taste in colors and design and a wonderful color computer print out of what the new look would be. I gave up hunting for chairs and returning them because the color was off or they just didn’t look right. Dana, at Decorating Den, was recommended by a friend. Dana came to my home to talk about what I was looking for and to see the rooms and space she had to work with. I needed 6 dining room chairs, a living room sofa with 2 chairs, and some accessories. I was not doing a complete room makeover or starting with a clean slate/palate. I wanted to keep the area rugs, current wall paint colors and window treatments. Dana came back in a week and presented several fabrics for the living room furniture and suggested dining room chairs. They were all great selections, but when Dana showed me “the one,” I loved it immediately and new right away it was perfect. Dana nailed it! Just what I was looking for but couldn’t find. Dana has access to hundreds of resources. It’s so much easier, time saving and a nicer experience, to work with an experienced professional looking at fabric swatches in your own home rather than trying to imaging what furniture will look like when you shop online.

Dear Dana, I just wanted to let you know how happy Willem and I are with our recent living room update. More importantly, we couldn’t have done it without YOU. Your professional knowledge, guidance and expertise helped simplify the process for us, and your friendly demeanor made the entire experience a pleasure.   Navigating the wide range of options in design, color, fabric and materials was daunting to us. But you asked us questions, pointed out features that could work for us, and used our preferences to focus the search. It was truly a very efficient and way more enjoyable process than we ever anticipated.   We were smiling then, and are smiling even more now…in the comfort of our lovely new living room!

Good morning Dana. I was very pleased with everyone’s willingness to fix the blemish in the last table – I was not expecting and very happy with the above and beyond effort to send out a whole new table. The construction and fit of the new table seems very sound. There is a shinny spot on the finish; maybe where someone attempted to fill in a blemish. It’s small and I’m hoping it will disappear over time as we clean it. All in all, I’m pretty happy with the quality of the table and very happy with the level of service and support.
